Recipe by: The Naked Food Chefs

Yield: 9–12 brownies

Ingredients (organic, non-GMO)

Brownie Base

  • 2 cups Medjool dates, pitted

  • 1 cup raw walnuts

  • 1 cup raw almonds

  • ½ cup raw cacao powder

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract or powder

  • Pinch sea-salt substitute (optional)

  • 1–2 tbsp water if needed

Superfood Mix-Ins

(optional but divine)

  • 2 tbsp hemp seeds

  • 2 tbsp chia seeds

  • 2 tbsp cacao nibs

Topping

  • ¼ cup crushed pistachios or cacao nibs

  • Optional: freeze-dried berries for color

Method

  1. Add almonds and walnuts to a food processor and pulse until finely ground.

  2. Add dates, cacao, vanilla, and optional salt.
Process until a sticky dough forms.
If dry, add water 1 tsp at a time until it binds.

  3. Pulse in hemp, chia, and cacao nibs without over-mixing (texture is key).

  4. Press mixture firmly into a small parchment-lined dish or brownie pan.

  5. Sprinkle with pistachios/cacao nibs and press lightly to adhere.

  6. Chill 1–2 hours to set.

  7. Cut into squares and serve chilled for the fudgiest texture.

Chef Notes

  • Swap nuts with sunflower + pumpkin seeds for a nut-free version.

  • Add orange zest or a splash of espresso for a gourmet twist.

  • Freeze extras — they keep beautifully and taste like brownie fudge bites.

  • If dates are dry, soak 10 minutes in warm water and drain before using.

  • Top with crushed freeze-dried raspberries for extra antioxidants + color.
