What This Trip is About
This journey is about experiencing Fiji in a slower, more personal, and unforgettable way.
With a maximum of just 14 guests, we’ll spend seven nights in the remote Yasawa Islands, waking each morning only steps from the ocean and settling into the natural rhythm of island life.
Our days will blend snorkeling, boat excursions, swimming, hiking, kayaking, paddleboarding, Fijian culture, island activities, and plenty of time to simply enjoy where we are. There are no hotel changes, long road transfers, or packed schedules—once we arrive, our island home is ours for the week.
Food is also an important part of the experience. All vegan meals are included, so you can enjoy the trip without having to search for options, plan where to eat, or compromise the way you choose to travel.
From the helicopter journey into the Yasawas to our meals, activities, and planned excursions, we take care of the details so you can simply experience Fiji.
Your Journey Begins in the Sky
Few trips begin quite like this one.
We’ll meet in Nadi on the morning of October 23, and from there everything is taken care of.
Our included helicopter transfer carries us over Fiji’s brilliant turquoise waters, coral reefs, and scattered islands, deep into the remote Yasawa Islands.
What would normally be a journey of several hours by sea becomes an unforgettable approximately 30-minute helicopter flight, giving us more time in paradise and an extraordinary aerial introduction to Fiji along the way.
The flight itself becomes part of the experience—an extraordinary way to arrive in one of the most beautiful corners of the South Pacific.
Best of all, we arrive directly at our island resort, where seven nights of beachfront living begin.
And when the week comes to an end, your helicopter transfer back to Nadi is included as well.
Island Life at Its Fullest
Adventure, culture, ocean, and time to simply be. Our days in the Yasawas are filled with experiences that let you enjoy island life from every angle—above the water, beneath it, on the trails, and within the traditions of Fiji.
Snorkeling the Yasawas
Slip into warm, crystal-clear South Pacific waters and discover the colorful reefs surrounding our island home.
We’ll enjoy snorkeling directly from shore as well as boat excursions to reefs farther afield, giving us the chance to experience different underwater landscapes throughout the week.
Discover the Reef
The beauty of the Yasawas continues beneath the surface.
Coral formations, tropical fish, sea stars, and countless small details create an underwater world that invites you to slow down and explore.
Every swim can reveal something completely different, even just a few steps from the beach.
Encounters Beneath the Surface
One of the most exciting parts of snorkeling in Fiji is never quite knowing what you may encounter.
Sea turtles and other marine life inhabit these tropical waters, turning an ordinary swim into the possibility of a moment you will remember long after the trip is over.
Fijian Traditions
Island life is deeply connected to the traditions and skills passed down through generations.
We’ll have opportunities to learn about basket weaving, coconut crafts, language, and other elements of Fijian culture, spending time with the people who call these islands home and discovering a side of Fiji that goes far beyond the beach.
Hike Above Paradise
The Yasawas are just as beautiful from above as they are from the water.
A hike into the hills opens to sweeping views across the bay, surrounding islands, and endless Pacific, offering a completely different perspective on the landscape and a wonderful way to experience the wild side of our island home.
Evenings by the Sea
When the sun begins to disappear over the South Pacific, island life takes on a completely different atmosphere.
Music, Fijian traditions, warm tropical evenings, and time together beside the ocean make the end of each day just as memorable as the adventures that came before it.

For seven nights, this is not just where you stay — it is your home in paradise.
Dining by the Ocean
Meals in Fiji are meant to be enjoyed slowly.
Our resort’s open, relaxed dining area sits overlooking the beautiful blue waters of Nalova Bay, creating a spectacular setting for breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout the week.
This is where we’ll gather each day for our included vegan meals, share stories from the morning’s adventures, plan what comes next, and watch island life unfold around us.
Space to Gather, Space to Unwind
Beyond your private bungalow, the resort offers inviting shared spaces for relaxing, reading, talking, and spending time together between adventures.
These are the places to settle in with a coffee after breakfast, meet before heading out on the water, catch up with new friends, or simply find a comfortable corner and enjoy the unhurried rhythm of the island.
Connectivity is available in the resort’s shared areas, allowing your own bungalow to remain a quieter place to disconnect while still giving you access when you need it.
The Food
Vegan Island Dining
Food is an important part of this experience, and throughout the week all of your meals are included and prepared entirely vegan and plant-based.
Expect colorful, satisfying meals inspired by the tropics, with fresh fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes, coconut, herbs, and island flavors woven throughout breakfasts, lunches, and dinners.
The pleasure here is in the simplicity: waking up beside the ocean knowing that every meal is already taken care of, with no searching for vegan options, explaining dietary choices, or planning where to eat.
Some meals will be light and refreshing after a morning in the water; others will bring us together at the end of the day to relax, share stories, and enjoy the evening.
Fresh food, tropical surroundings, and a table where everything is vegan.
Meet Your Hosts
Margarita Restrepo
Margarita is the founder and editor-in-chief of Naked Food Magazine, founder of WFPB.ORG, a certified naturopath, plant-based chef, and author of five cookbooks.
For more than two decades, her work has explored the relationship between food, nature, well-being, and a more conscious way of living.
Her journeys were created as an extension of that philosophy: intimate experiences where guests can step away from routine, reconnect with the natural world, enjoy beautiful plant-based food, and experience extraordinary places at a slower and more meaningful pace.
In Fiji, Margarita will personally host the group throughout the week, from the helicopter journey into the Yasawas to shared meals, island excursions, snorkeling adventures, cultural experiences, and quiet days beside the South Pacific.
For Margarita, the heart of this journey is simple: creating the space for people to experience one of the world’s most beautiful environments while feeling cared for, connected, and completely present.
Michele Nasini
Michele (Mik) is co-director of WFPB.ORG, a professional Fitness Coach, lifelong athlete, experienced diver, and former professional swimmer who spent 15 years training and competing in the water.
His extensive aquatic background makes him especially at home in Fiji.
Throughout the trip, Mik will be able to help lead snorkeling sessions and share practical underwater techniques, including efficient movement in the water, body positioning, relaxation, breath awareness, and breathing methods that can help guests feel more comfortable and confident while exploring the reefs.
As an experienced diver, he also brings a deep appreciation for the underwater environment and will help guests approach snorkeling not simply as an activity, but as an opportunity to slow down, move naturally through the water, observe marine life, and experience the extraordinary world beneath the surface.
Beyond the ocean, Mik will co-host the entire journey alongside Margarita, accompanying guests during hikes, island activities, excursions, and the many spontaneous moments that make a small-group adventure memorable.

-
Our journey begins and ends in Nadi, home to Fiji’s main international airport.
Fiji Airways connects Nadi with major international hubs across North America, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific. Current nonstop routes include Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas/Fort Worth, Honolulu, Vancouver, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Auckland, and Christchurch.
Guests should plan to arrive in Nadi no later than October 22, 2027, so they are already in the area and ready for our morning meetup on October 23.
The exact meetup location and time are reserved for registered guests and provided after booking.
From our meetup point, we’ll transfer together to the helicopter terminal. Our included helicopter flights then carry us from Nadi into the Yasawa Islands in approximately 20–30 minutes, replacing what would otherwise be several hours of travel by sea. Helicopter service is weather and daylight dependent, and final operational flight times may be adjusted by the aviation operator.
On October 30, our included helicopters will return the group to Nadi. Registered guests will receive the return-transfer information needed to plan onward travel.
Because island aviation can be affected by weather, we strongly recommend spending the night of October 30 in Nadi and scheduling international departure for October 31 whenever possible.
This provides the most relaxed and secure travel plan at the end of your Fiji experience.
-
Because we travel to and from the Yasawa Islands by helicopter, luggage requirements are different from those of a standard international flight.
The current helicopter baggage allowance is 15 kg / 33 lb per passenger.
Guests traveling internationally with larger suitcases may bring a smaller bag for the seven-night island stay and leave additional luggage in Nadi. The helicopter operator currently provides complimentary baggage storage at its airport base.
Excess luggage may sometimes be transported on the same flight for an additional charge, carried on a later flight, or stored in Nadi depending on aircraft loading and available capacity. Extra baggage cannot be guaranteed on the same helicopter as the passenger.
Complete luggage instructions will be sent to registered guests before travel.
We strongly recommend packing light for the island portion of your Fiji journey.
-
This trip is intentionally different from a traditional sightseeing tour.
For seven nights, our island resort becomes our home, and our program is built around the ocean, the surrounding islands, nature, Fijian culture, and time to enjoy the extraordinary place in which we are staying.
Our planned week includes boat snorkeling excursions, shore snorkeling, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, hiking, cultural activities, and island experiences, together with plenty of unstructured time for swimming, relaxing, reading, exploring the beach, or simply doing nothing at all.
After signing up, guests will receive the essential arrival and departure details needed to arrange their travel, including our Nadi meetup information and return-transfer guidance.
The complete planned program will be provided to confirmed participants approximately 30 days before departure.
Because island activities depend on weather, tides, ocean conditions, local schedules, and availability, the order or timing of individual activities may change.
Any adjustments will always be made with the intention of providing the safest and best possible experience for our guests.
-
All meals included in this trip will be vegan.
Please note that this is specifically a vegan Fiji trip and is not a Whole Food, Plant-Based (WFPB), oil-free, or refined-sugar-free program. Individual dishes may contain oils, refined ingredients, or other vegan preparations.
We are not able to accommodate special dietary requirements such as gluten-free for this trip.
If you have any food allergies or intolerances, you must communicate them to us before signing up so we can determine whether participation in the trip is appropriate for you.
Because meals are prepared in a shared resort kitchen that also prepares food for other guests, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment or the complete absence of cross-contact.
Guests with serious allergies, celiac disease, or other medically necessary dietary requirements should therefore contact us before making a reservation.
If a guest books and only afterward discloses a dietary requirement that prevents participation, the reservation will remain subject to our non-refundable cancellation policy.
-
This trip is designed to be relaxed and flexible, and many activities are optional.
However, participants should be comfortable moving independently through a tropical island environment that may include sand, uneven paths, steps, boat boarding, and helicopter boarding.
Guests wishing to participate in snorkeling or water activities should be comfortable in the water and able to follow all safety instructions provided by the resort and activity staff.
Hiking, snorkeling, kayaking, paddleboarding, and other more active experiences are optional. Guests are always welcome to choose a quieter day at the resort instead.
The resort currently operates as an adults-only property. Final age requirements for our 2027 group will be confirmed before bookings are finalized.
Before the trip, every participant must provide:
A signed Liability Waiver
A clear copy of the identification page of their passport
These documents must be received before participation in the trip.
